Floor Level — privacy policy
Effective 13 August 2026
The short version
Floor Level does not collect, transmit, or store any personal data on our servers. We have no servers that the app talks to. Everything you measure stays on your phone.
What the app stores on your device
Floor Level saves the following locally on your device only:
- Your saved surveys — grid measurements, spacing, and calculated results
- Your sensor calibration reference
- Whether you have purchased the one-time unlock
This data never leaves your device. It is not backed up to us, because there is nowhere for it to go. Uninstalling the app deletes it.
Sensors
The app reads your device's accelerometer to measure inclination. This happens entirely on-device and only while the app is open. Accelerometer access requires no Android permission and cannot identify you.
Network access
Floor Level itself makes no network requests. The app does hold Android's internet permission, because Google's Play Billing library requires it to process the one-time unlock purchase. That connection is between your device and Google Play.
Purchases
The one-time unlock is sold through Google Play. Google processes the payment and tells the app whether the unlock has been bought. We never see or receive your payment details, name, or email address. Google's handling of that transaction is covered by Google's own privacy policy.
What we do not do
- No user accounts and no sign-in
- No analytics, telemetry, or crash reporting SDKs
- No advertising and no ad identifiers
- No third-party trackers
- No location, camera, microphone, contacts, or file access
Children
Floor Level is a tool for trade and DIY work. It is not directed at children and we do not knowingly collect data from anyone, including children.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, we will update this page and the effective date above. Material changes will also be noted in the app's Google Play listing.
